A 30-stock, equal-weighted model portfolio built from the highest-rated Quant Strong Buys and rebalanced every Monday. It returned +39.81% against +27.76% for the S&P 500 Equal Weight Index between May 30, 2025 and October 30, 2026.

PRO-Exclusive Articles

Homepage Cards
Latest From Top Analysts, Exclusive Coverage, Upgrades & Downgrades, and Short Ideas sit beneath Trending Analysis and Trending News, each linking to its full list.
Portfolio Integration
Upgrades & Downgrades also appears inside each portfolio and in the daily portfolio summary email, so rating changes on existing holdings are easy to spot.
Seeking Alpha PRO Quant Portfolio
The PRO Quant Portfolio launched on June 2, 2025, after roughly half of surveyed Alpha Picks subscribers asked for more frequent ideas. It publishes its trades every Monday at 12:00 PM Eastern Time.
Universe
Selects US-listed stocks and ADRs of every market cap, with no minimum share price and a $10,000 maximum.
Buy Rules
A stock needs a Quant Strong Buy for a proprietary number of consecutive trading days, daily liquidity, no active M&A, and no delayed SEC filings.
Sell Rules
A Sell or Strong Sell rating, or the loss of a Quant Rating, triggers a same-day exit. Stocks that slip to Hold leave at the next rebalance.

Weekly Rebalance
Every holding resets to equal weight at Monday’s VWAP. Cash from a midweek sale waits for the next rebalance, so the portfolio can briefly hold 28 or 29 stocks.
Turnover & Sector Limits
Backtesting from 2015 averaged two to three trades per week, and a proprietary sector cap redirects new buys once one sector grows too large.
Benchmark
Measured against the S&P 500 Equal Weight Index (RSP) to match the portfolio’s equal weighting. Dividends are reinvested, and returns are time-weighted in line with GIPS standards.
Performance
Returned +39.81% against +27.76% for the S&P 500 Equal Weight Index between May 30, 2025 and October 30, 2026.
Ways to Follow
Subscribers can hold all 30 positions, pick the highest Quant scores, filter by size or sector, or scale in over time. Staggered limit orders are suggested for companies under $500 million in market cap.

Member Extras
Weekly Monday articles, email trade alerts, a full Portfolio History tab, and Quant team webinars every two weeks.
Seeking Alpha PRO Quant Portfolio vs Alpha Picks
Both portfolios draw on the Quant system, but they suit different investing styles and are sold as separate subscriptions.

Portfolio Size
The PRO Quant Portfolio holds a fixed 30 stocks, while Alpha Picks expands with two new picks each month.
Trading Frequency
PRO Quant rebalances weekly, averaging two to three trades. Alpha Picks adds picks on the trading days closest to the 1st and 15th of each month.
Hold Ratings
PRO Quant removes Holds at the next rebalance, while Alpha Picks keeps them for up to 180 days.
Universe
PRO Quant covers US stocks and ADRs of every size with no minimum share price. Alpha Picks requires US common stocks above a $500 million market cap and a $10 share price.
Holding Period
PRO Quant suits active investors comfortable with weekly trading, while Alpha Picks targets roughly one year per position.
Seeking Alpha PRO Top Analysts
Top Analysts ranks the 15 best-performing Seeking Alpha analysts, including Investing Group leaders, on their published calls over the trailing 12 months. The leaderboard refreshes daily before the market opens.

Eligibility
Analysts need at least five actionable calls within 12 months on stocks or ETFs above a $20 million market cap.
Conviction Weighting
Strong Buy and Strong Sell returns count 1.5 times. Hold ratings are excluded and close an existing call.
Active Return
Every return is measured against the S&P 500, so each pick is judged on what it added or lost relative to the market.
Ratings History
Clicking an analyst’s rating count lists every scored pick with its start date, end date, active return, and original article.

Ask Seeking Alpha
An AI research assistant that answers plain-English questions using only Seeking Alpha’s own data. It can list the latest top analyst picks with each analyst’s rank and average return, or stocks held at Quant Strong Buy for over 150 days.

Rating Drill-Down
Quant changes are the default view in Upgrades & Downgrades. The Ratings tab on each symbol page shows which factor grades shifted to trigger a change.
Upgrade Signals
A move from Hold to Buy or Strong Buy is designed to flag the point where fundamentals suggest a stock is mispriced relative to its sector.
Exclusive Coverage Screener
A dedicated screener lists every stock covered by Seeking Alpha analysts but not by Wall Street, ready to sort by market cap.
Short Ideas Review
Each bearish thesis passes a stricter editorial review than standard articles, which also helps shareholders stress-test a long position.
How Seeking Alpha Quant Ratings Work
The Quant system follows a GARP Plus approach, which adds momentum and EPS revisions to growth at a reasonable price, and grades nearly 5,000 stocks against their sector every trading day. It drives every Quant Rating, the PRO Quant Portfolio, and the Quant view in Upgrades & Downgrades.
Five Factors
Valuation, Growth, Profitability, Momentum, and EPS Revisions are each graded A+ to F against sector peers.
Weighted Scoring
Metrics with stronger back-tested predictive power carry more weight, with momentum and valuation weighted slightly higher.
Daily Refresh
Ratings update between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM Eastern Time, so changes never occur during the trading session.
Circuit Breakers
A Buy or Strong Buy defaults to Hold when Growth, Momentum, or EPS Revisions falls to D+ or lower. The same applies when Valuation or Profitability falls to D- or lower.
Track Record
The model is back-tested to 2010, with live simulated tracking since 2019 and attribution run through S&P Global.

Is Seeking Alpha PRO Safe?
Secure Broker Links
Plaid and SnapTrade handle brokerage connections, so Seeking Alpha never sees login details.
Encrypted Connections
Broker links are encrypted and typically protected by two-factor authentication.
Research Only
Seeking Alpha cannot hold assets or place trades on a subscriber’s behalf.
Independent Verification
Quant model performance and attribution are run through S&P Global as an independent third party.
Please Note
- The PRO Quant Portfolio is a model portfolio not run with real money, and no ETF, fund, or automated service replicates it, so every trade is placed manually through a brokerage account.
- The portfolio publishes weights rather than share quantities, which means position sizes depend on each subscriber’s capital.
- Weekly turnover creates frequent taxable events, which matters for positions held in taxable accounts.
- Small caps in the portfolio can move sharply after a new recommendation and may carry wide bid-ask spreads, which is why limit orders are suggested.
- Top Analysts rankings only score picks published on the main Premium and PRO platform, so ideas shared inside Investing Groups are excluded.
